Yes, a Tree Removal Permit is required for any tree with a trunk diameter of 20 cm or greater when measured 1.4 m above ground. The tree bylaw does not apply to properties within the Agricultural Land Reserve, except for specific protected trees.
To apply for a Tree Removal Permit, you need to complete the application form available on the City of Delta’s tree removal permit portal or at their office. Include details about the tree(s) to be removed, the reason for removal, and any required supporting documents such as an arborist report if applicable.
A non-refundable 25 CAD permit fee is required for the application.
